(10-22-22) St. Henry entered last night’s game with next-door neighbor Ft. Recovery with a 1-8 record. The Redskins would pull out a 22-21 nail-biter win and with that would qualify to play in the OHSAA football D VII playoffs.

The Redskins opened the season with 49-0 win over Covington and ended the season last night with the win over the Indians.

The twist…Covington finished the season at 1-6 and their only win was over Bradford who only played two games and lost them both. But it was enough to help St. Henry to qualify for the playoffs.

According to Joe Eitel’s site…Ft. Recovery also at 3-7 moves on to the next round.

D VII Region 28 had 23 schools… two schools opted out of competing in the playoffs and Bradford didn’t have enough rated games. The other four remaining non-qualifiers…one was 2-8, two were 1-9 and one was 0-9.
