(10-22-22) It was a big day in the Stateline area for cross country teams in OHSAA District Cross Country Competition.

D III Girls NW District 1 at Columbus Grove

Minster continues to be one of the top programs in any Division as they picked up the D III title with a perfect score of 15 (placed 1, 2, 3, 4,and 5th). Margaret Hemmelgarn led the the Wildcats winning the individual title with a time of 19:35.9. Right behind her were teammates Taylor Roth, Maria Niekamp, Annie Hemmelgarn and Chaney Cedarleaf. Morgan Ketner, who does not count in team score finished 7th.

Parkway finished 2nd with 86 points, New Bremen 3rd with 100 points and Lincolnview 4th with 105 points…all three of those schools move on to next week’s regional.

D II Girls District 2 at Columbus Grove

Celina’s Kaylie Dameron finished 2nd in the D II District race with a time of 18:50.6, while the Bulldog’s Jennalee Dameron was 6th.

O-G picked up the District title with 59 points, Celina was 2nd with 92 points and Kenton was 3rd with 100 points…all three move on to the Regional race next Saturday.

D III Girls NW District 2 at Columbus Grove

Ft. Recovery’s Natalie Brunswick won the individual District III title in a time of 19:11.8, with that she led the Indians to a 2nd place finish and a date on to the Regional Race next Saturday.

Patrick Henry picked up the title, with St. Henry finishing 3rd and both advancing.

D III District 1 at Columbus Grove

Ft. Recovery’s Trevor Heitkamp won the Boys D III District title and will advance to the Regional race next Saturday as an Individual.

Columbus Grove, Marion Local and Minster finished 1-2-3 and will run next Saturday at the Regional race.
