Celina Travels To Bellbrook In D III Region 12 Opening Round Game

(10-24-22) Celina (6-4) will travel to Bellbrook (8-2) on Friday night in the opening round of D III Region 12 football playoffs.

The Golden Eagles are the #5 seed and the Bulldogs enter the game as the #12 seed. Celina and Wapakoneta from the Western Buckeye League (WBL), leave the Northwest District to compete against a majority of schools from the Southwest District.

Interesting to note…both schools lost all of their games at the beginning of the season and the end of the season. Bellbrook opened the season with a loss to Tippecanoe and ended their season on Friday night with a loss to Valley View. The Bulldogs lost their first two games of the season (Versailles and Van Wert) and their last two games to Wapakoneta and St. Marys.

Bellbrook won its third straight Southwestern Buckeye League East Division title with a 6-1 record, Celina finished 4th in the WBL with a 6-3 record.
