Ft. Recovery Looking To Hire New Athletic Director

We are looking for a full time Athletic Director for the 2023-24 school year.

(4-24-23) Ft. Recovery Schools posted on Twitter that they are looking for a new Athletic Director. Present AD Holly Gann was recently named the new Middle School Principal on a Two-Year Contract, effective August 1, 2023.

Gann, the current AD, was hired in March of 2021 to replace Brent Niekamp. In 2019 Gann was named the Indians girls basketball coach, she resigned in March from that position.

Gann told the Commercial-Review after she stepped down from the basketball job, the Indians were 7-14 this past season. –

“The reality is, it comes down to my work and my time that I’m spending doing that on top of what the extensive commitment for a head coach is, I just felt like I was really stretching myself thin.”

In 2022 she was recipient of the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Horizon Award.

At the April 17th Board of Education meeting Tyler Deitsch was named the new girls basketball coach.
