The Gull Lake district school board voted unanimously Monday night to enter a co-op agreement with Parchment High School.

Parchment High School Athletic Director Brennan Davis confirmed that the Parchment school board also voted to allow Gull Lake’s displaced varsity players to join the Panther’s varsity team.

The emergency co-op must next pass the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) to proceed.

If approved by the MHSAA, Gull Lake players could be practicing with Parchment players as early as Thursday.

The estimated the co-op would add between 10 to 18 Gull Lake players to Parchment’s own varsity roster of about 20.

(8-12-26) The Gull Lake (Michigan) football season is over. The players decided to end the plug the season because of low numbers and concerns about safety and ability to compete.
