(5-26-17) – The final day at the OHSAA D III Troy Regional Championships saw numerous Stateline area athletes move on to the State Meet in Columbus next week.
COMPLETE TROY D III REGIONAL RESULTS
GIRLS
Minster easily won the girls D III Regional title outscoring 2nd place Anna 85-50, Parkway finished 7th with 29 points.
Advancing to State, Marion Local’s 800 meter relay team (Rethman , Homan , Kramer , Albers) who finished 2nd to Anna and Coldwater’s Savannah Seibert finished 4th in the 300 meter hurdles.
Parkway had a good 2nd day at Regionals, Sydney Crouch (11) won the Long Jump Regional title, placed 3rd in the 200 meter dash and was a member of the 2nd place 400 meter relay team along with Clista Hellwarth, Rachel Barrett and Ansley Burtch. The Parkway Relay team time was a new Panther school record at 50.46, beating the 50.48 record set back in 1986 (Sandy Luderman, Jenny Frahm, D. Laffin, Jenny Steinecker).

BOYS
The boys Regional title went to Ft. Loramie who beat 2nd place Twin Valley South 74-48, Ft. Recovery was 12th with 19 points.
Advancing to state, Ft. Recovery had a good second day, Robby Lefevre (Soph) was third in the 200 meter dash and was a member of the fourth place 400 meter relay along with teammates Pearson, Timmerman and Schoen.
Also advancing to State in the 1,600 meter run was the Indians’ Travis Sutter (Sr).
