(6-10-17) Tippecanoe Valley (Indiana) announced in mid-May that Bill Patrick is retiring as the Vikings’ head boys basketball coach.
Patrick was the Vikings’ coach for 19 seasons with a record of 287- 139 and his overall finished with a record of 765-319 over 48 seasons. He ends his coaching career as Indiana’s active wins leader and #2 on the all time list, behind Jack Butcher, (Loogootee) 1968-2002 (806-250).

The Hall of Fame coach was inducted into the Indiana Coaches HOF in 2008. Patrick began his varsity coaching career at his alma mater in 1964 at Sidney High School for one season, then he was at South Whitley High School for 4 years, followed by 24 years at Whitko and the past 19 years at Tippecanone Valley. He took Whitko to the Final Four in 1991.
