(8-25-17) Three schools had a tough Friday night as they extended their losing streaks.

Hundred (W Va.) lost to Clay-Battelle 48-8, extending their streak to 39 losses in a row, next week they play Cameron who the Hornets lost to last season 48-8.

Poca (W Va.) , lost their 38th in a row dropping a 32-7 loss to Nitro.  The Dots will try again next Friday when they play Chapmanville Regional, last season they beat Poca 53-20.

In Wisconsin, Richland Center lost their 33rd game in a row 56-26 to Fennimore. Next week they will try to end that streak when they take on Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau who they lost to last season 50-8.

Next week, will see Kimball (Minnesota) and Kemmerer (Wyoming) have their first chance this season to end their losing streaks of 37 and 36.

Kimball will have their hands full for the season opener when they take on Eden Valley-Watkins, who lost in last year’s Prep Bowl at US Bank Stadium.  The Cubs last win came in October of 2013 when they beat Spectrum 49-18 in a first round section play-off game.

In Wyoming, Bart Jernigan, the team’s defensive coordinator for the past two seasons, is in his first season as the head coach and is the third head coach in the last four years at Kemmerer.

“I’m optimistic, but I’m not blind. I know there’s plenty of work to be done.”

They had a two game winning streak in September of 2012 before the losing streak started, with their last win coming over Big Piney 22-20. They will try and end that streak this next weekend when they play Saratoga.

Waterloo (Iowa) East ends 37 game losing streak

Waterloo East had lost 37 games in a row, but on Friday night they had no problem beating Des Moines North 38-0. For the Trojans it was theirfirst victory since Oct. 24, 2012, when they beat Davenport Assumption, 33-14.

Losing Streak ended in Ohio

Some good news out of Ohio, Ridgedale (Ohio) ended its 26 game losing streak Friday night beating Ridgemont 12-7 on the road in their season opener. Their last win before the streak ended was in September of 2014 when they beat Crestline 22-20.
