(10-5-17) – No surprises today at the Coldwater Cross Country Invitational, Ft. Loramie picked up the boys trophy and Versailles’ Joe Spitzer rolled to another win.
In the girls race Minster was one runner away from a perfect score with 18 points in the 17 team race. Minster’s Emma Watcke continues to impress with another 1st place finish.
Familiar names in the Boys race had a good day, Versailles’ Joe Spitzer picked up another impressive 1st place finish in a time of 15:44.15, 39 seconds ahead of Ft. Loramie’s Joe Ballas.
Ft. Loramie picked up another 1st place trophy hanging on to beat Minster 67-77.
St. Henry’s Devin Huelskamp (16:32.14) was 4th, his teammate Braydon Hoying (17:06.65) was 10th, Parkway’s Matt Gaerke (16:36.21) was 5th, along with the Panther’s Kyle Roth (16:48.46) who was 8th.
Team scores found St. Henry in 4th with 98 points, Parkway with 172 and a 5th place finish, Coldwater was 11th with a 274 score, Ft. Recovery was 14th, Marion was 16th and Celina 17th.
The top-ranked ‘Wonder Women’ of Minster continue to impress as they win the Coldwater Invitational with an ‘almost perfect’ 18 points, 76 points ahead of 2nd place Ft. Loramie.
The Wildcats finished 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 to dominate the event. Emma Watcke continues to impress with a 1st place finish of 18:18.81, 41 seconds of her 2nd place teammate Kaitlyn Albers (18:59.56) , Gwendolyn Meiring (19:31.59), Ella Boate (19:32.28) and Mackenzie Bohman (19:41.87).
Marion Local’s Kelsey Broering (19:46.28) was 8th, St. Henry’s Ashley Bruns (19:46.59) was 9th, Ft. Recovery’s Chloe Will (19:51.09) was 12th.
Team scores shows St. Henry in 3r with 138 points, Ft. Recovery was 10th with 245, Marion Local 12th with 273 and Parkway with 406.
