Another @MHSAA inquiry. Not fair for some kids to transfer without issue, while others, like Kithier, get their HIGH SCHOOL dreams taken away from them. Rule needs to be changed and fair/equal for ALL. pic.twitter.com/g8TyZcShkY

(12-11-17) It has been a long week for our #1 ranked SSN National Public HS Boys Basketball Rankings team Clarkston.
Recently the Michigan High School Athletic Association ruled that Clarkston transfer Thomas Kithier has been ruled ineligible. despite that ruling the Wolves opened the season with two wins, with Kithier sitting on the Clarkston bench.
The dispute has brought the Clarkston community together in the support of Kithier:
Tonight’s Clarkston Community Schools Board of Education meeting is 7pm at the CCS Board Office. We have a lot on the agenda but I will be pushing to do what is right for Thomas Kithier!

At tonight’s #ccsboe mtg, I plan to introduce a resolution condemning the decision of Chippewa Valley Schools/Dakota HS not to sign the Educational Transfer Form and the MHSAA transfer rules while supporting Thomas Kithier! We should #LetHimPlay #CCSRocks #FreeThomas

Newcomer Denton Guyer enters the Top 10 all the way up to the #2 spot. Guyer won the Houston Methodist Cy-Hoops Invitational 2017, beating highly regarded Waxahachie 77-71 and also preseason #6 Cypress Falls.

Two teams also entered the Top 10 this week, Rock Canyon at #9 and Cox Mill at #10.
#4 Memphis East, much like Clarkston, lost two players due to eligibility issues, but got them back after a court restraining rule. The Mustangs beat national power Prolific Prep Academy 80-54 this past weekend.
#5 Shadow Mountain, playing in the Hoophall West 2017, looked very impressive in an 80-78 win over Sierra Canyon.
Four teams fell out of the preseason rankings after suffering disappointing starts, #6 Cypress Falls, #8 Sidney and and # 10 Westlake.
