Celina District Bowling Champions

(3-3-18) Celina won the DI Boys Bowling District championship  and will advance to next week’s finals in Columbus.

Celina had a team score of 4,183. The Bulldogs won the Regulation round with 2,987 pins outdistancing 2nd place Ashland 2,938.  In the Baker games Ashland and Wapakoneta gained on the pin count, Ashland had 1,220 pins, the Redskins had a 1,207 score and Celina ended with 1,196. In the end Celina hung on to beat Ashland (4,158) by 25 pins and Wapakoneta (4,151)  by 32 pins.

Ashland also qualifies to compete at State next week with the second place finish.

Cole Cisco led the way for Celina finishing 4th overal with a 664 series (247, 227, 190), Parker Maurer was 7th with a 622 series (222, 166, 234), both earned All District honors.

Ashland’s Haven Leiter won the individual title with a 682 series (206, 245, 231).

They’ll bowl Friday at 10:00 am at Wayne Webb Bowling Palace in Columbus
