John Rossato

(4-13-18) Rockford Jefferson, after ‘plowing’ through numerous resumes, will announce soon that they are hiring John Rossato as their new Head Boys Basketball Coach, it will be his first boys basketball head coaching job.

The J-Hawks didn’t have to look to far, Rossato is already an assistant principal at the school (Emitt Academy.).

Rossato’s resume in the past includes being the Head Baseball Coach at Jefferson several years ago, in the past he has also been a baseball coach at Boylan.

Rossato replaces veteran coach Todd Brannan who stepped down after this past season.

Jefferson started the process this past week with J-Hawk players being a part of the group that interviewed the applicants. Also this week interviews were held to find a new Jefferson Athletic Director to replace Mike Armato, who was removed from that position.

Last week Guilford  went through the interview process, no word yet (sources say Carl Armato is the front runner)  who will guide the Vikings next season.  Dean Martinetti was released after the season.
