(8-8-19) Last night over 200 friends, family and community members gathered at the Tri-Village High School football stadium to remember the life and impact of Austin Bruner made who lost his life in a fatal two vehicle crash on Tuesday morning in Hamilton County.
In May Austin Bruner committed to Bluffton University to play football and run track. He was a part of the 1st class to play four years of football at Tri-Village and the 1st player to commit to playing college football. In track this year Bruner placed second in the OHSAA Division III 400 meter dash with a time of 49.47.

A fatal motor vehicle crash in Hamilton County on Tuesday which occurred in the 8900 block of S.R. 128 (Hamilton Cleves Road) in Whitewater Township on August 6th, 2019 at 11:26 a.m.
Austin Bruner (18) of Eldorado, a 2019 graduate of Tri-Village high School, was operating a 2012 Dodge Ram 5500 pick-up truck northbound in the 8900 block of S.R. 128 (Hamilton Cleves Road) negotiating a right bound curve. Bruner allowed his vehicle to cross the double yellow center line and enter into the southbound lanes. Bruner’s vehicle was then struck in a head-on manner by a 1986 Peterbilt tractor semi-trailer which was operated by Richard Reilmann, (43) of Sunman, Ind.
Bruner sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Bruner was not wearing a safety restraint at the time of the crash.
