(12-6-19) Welcome to the MAC club…Anna picked up their first ever State football title beating Springfield today 48-14 in the D VI State Championship game in Canton. With the win the Rockets add another state title to the football trophy case for the Midwest Athletic Conference (football only member), a conference that has dominated small-school football over the years in Ohio.
The first half of the D VI State Championship game between Springfield and Anna featured a full-package of highlights for both teams
Anna would run, pass and cash-in on a Springfield fumble to score their 28 points in the first two quarters. Springfield would rely on their passing game (13 of 23 for 158 yards) to keep them in contact with the Rockets, as the running game had negative yardage (-7 yards on the ground.

In the 2nd Half it was all Anna as they dominated the play on both sides of the ball and controlled the rushing game, while Springfield never was able to move on the ground and depended on the air game.
Anna ends the season with a 14-1 record, while Springfield suffers their first loss of the year and end at 14-1.
