celina wrestling

(2-7-20) In front of a packed house at Celina High School the Bulldogs knocked off previously undefeated Wapakoneta 48-27. The win was Celina’s first over the defending WBL champions in 12 years.

Celina picked up 7 pins on the night, Wapakoneta had 4.

Celina is now 8-0 in dual meets and ahead of both the Redskins and St. Marys who are presently 7-1. Next week the Bulldogs will wrestle St. Marys, a win would give Celina a perfect dual meet season heading into the WBL Tournament.  The league title will be decided based on how teams place in both the regular dual meets and tournament placement.

Celina has never won an outright WBL title, but they do have two co-championship trophies to its credit.
