(6-4-21) Even a day off for rain couldn’t slow up the Railroaders in today’s D IV State Softball Semifinal game in Akron.

Bradford’s Skipp Miller threw a 5 inning no-hitter leading the Railroaders to a 11-0 win over New Riegel to advance to Sunday’s D IV State title game at 1pm vs. Cuyahoga Heights…who beat Newark Catholic in the other Semifinal game 12-6..

Miller was spot on from the circle facing only 17 batters and striking out 12 while walking only two batters.

Bradford would only need 4 innings at the plate to pick-up the run-rule win. Bradford had good support offensively…Rylee Canan with 2 hits, a RBI and scored 3 runs, Nylani Beireis who had a hit, a walk, scored two runs and a RBI, Austy Miller scored 2 runs with 2 hits, her sister Skipp had 2 hits and a walk and Buzz Brewer had 2 hits, a RBI and scored a run.
