(6-1-23) Today at Firestone Stadium in Akron…Indian Lake will play for a D III state softball title on Saturday after the Lakers knocked off Johnstown 3-0 in the first state semifinal game. They will be playing Wheelersburg who beat South Range 6-1 in the 2nd semifinal gam.

The Lakers Madison Brentlinger did it all for the Lakers in the circle and at the plate.

She allowed just 3 hits, with 5 K’s and 4 BB’s to pick-up the complete game win win.

She added 2 of the 3 RBIs in the Lakers top of the 6th inning thanks to a triple with two outs in the inning. Mackenzie Dixon added the 1st RBI in the top of inning. Katy Roby had 2 hits in the game.

For Johnstown Macy Walters went 5 innings with 6 K’s and no BB’s and no earn runs. Dakota Staffan entered the game in the 6th giving up 5 hits, 3 earned runs. 1 K and one BB to take the loss.
