(3-11-24) It was a history making weekend for the St. Marys Wrestling program at the OHSAA State Wrestling Championships in Columbus with two wrestlers, Bo Hertenstein and Tate Hisey making the finals in their weight.

Hisey would add to that by winning the 1st state title for the Roughriders program at 113lbs.

St Marys’ Tate Hisey (Junior) won the Division II State Title in the 126 pound weight class with a victory over Indian Valley’s Leroy Steagall.

Hisey is the first wrestler in St Marys history to win a state wrestling title.

St Marys Bo Hertenstein (Junior) was the state runner-up in the Division II 150 pound weight class.

Wapakoneta Jace Knous (Senior) was the state runner-up in Division II for the 215 pound weight class.

Parkway Landon Younker (Junior) was a participant at the state meet in D III and lost to Greyson Siders of Dalton.

Celina’s Zach Greber (Senior) placed 7th in the D II 144lbs class for a podium ending to his career.
