(7-24-26) On Tuesday morning the Ft. Recovery Cheerleaders attended a four day UCA cheer camp at Anderson University.

Today they returned home with two first place finishes (First place Large Varsity Gameday Routine & First place Large Varsity Traditional Routine), the Leadership award, the jump contest winner (Kendall Buckland), and the longest held extension award (Kendall Buckland, Lana Wuebker, Chloe Brockman, Heidi Dues).
These girls went above and beyond this week learning new skills for the sidelines and competitions.
*Leadership Award (this award is given to the team that all other athletes voted for when the question was asked-“If you could be on any team what team would it be?”) this is the award for being good teammates and people.
*and extension is where girls are in a stunt above head. They held it for one minute thirty seconds before safely popping off as they won.
7 cheerleaders were chosen as “All American Cheerleaders” and our 1 “Pin it Forward” recipient.
To make “All American”, you must tryout in front of the entire camp with a jump, cheer and dance that you are taught two days prior to tryout.

The Pin It Forward award is given to the one athlete on team that is always putting her teammates first and being their biggest cheerleader along with other teams athletes.
