USA Today Top 25 – Week 9 (1-31-18)
(2-6-18) Last week the Boylan girls basketball team entered the USA TODAY Sports Super 25 Rankings (Week 9) at #25. How fleeting ‘fame’ is when you reach that level, despite not losing a game (26-0) they drop out this week.
Congrats to McKenzie Brown on 1,000 pts. Here’s a snippet from her 35 point performance tonight vs East (before she tried walking out of the gym) @BLTHoops @frankieschiro @BCHSstudents @BHSTitans @TitansOnNFHS @BoylanCatholic pic.twitter.com/p29lIFJHmJ

The Titans were knocked out by Montverde Academy (Fla) who is 18-3 on the season, last week they beat #7 Winter Haven 58-56, which was their first loss of the season. Not to many undefeated teams are knocked out of most rankings, but at the nationa level it can happen
Montverde Academy is a private prep school, this is what they say about their girls team on their web site:
The team is comprised of a group of young ladies from all parts of world who have been earned the opportunity to be coached by an elite staff consisting of two former high school All-Americans, former Division 1 college players and former professional players.
Boylan still could reappear in the Top 25 as the season winds down with a strong tournament run -or- several of the teams ranked above them who might stumble along the way. To continue to get National attention shows the strength of the program and the success of Coach Paul Perrone building it.
