(6-1-18) #1 state ranked and Western Buckeye League Champion Wapakoneta is headed to their second even State Baseball Final after beating Circleville 6-1 in Columbus at Huntington Park.
Despite a rain delay, Redskins’ pitcher Gage Schenk picked up the complete game win, he struck out 10, walked just 1, gave up 3 hits and 1 unearned run.
The Redskins had 10 hits on the day, catcher Jett Makar had 3 hits and scored 2 runs, 3B Wyatt Moyler had 2 hit, 3 RBIs and scored a run and Co-WBL Player of the Year Done Goodes added 2 hits, a RBI and scored a run. Bubba Miller Joel Roediger had the othe RBIs.
They will play Chaminade-Julienne who beat Tallmadge 2-1 Saturday night 7pm.
