(2-19-17) Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan announced on Monday night that it had narrowed the field for its 2017 Miss Basketball Award down to five candidates. One of those candidates is this week’s SSN National Player of the Week, Dearborn Heights Robichaud’s Kamaria McDaniel (5’9 Senior Guard).

McDaniel led the Bulldogs to two wins this week. On Tuesday she scored 33 points, had 9 rebounds and 8 assists in a 72-50 win over Dearborn Heights Crestwood, on Friday she scored 31 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in a 67-25 win over Romulus.

McDaniel was a McDonalds All American Nominee this year and will continue her career at Penn State.
