(3-23-24) At this week’s Ft. Recovery Schools Board of Education meeting members heard about a possible wrestling club being started.
Ft. Recovery Schools Superintendent Tony Stahl told SSN in an email–
Yes, we have had some community members express interest in getting this sort of club going at Fort Recovery and we have a group of students that are potentially interested in joining. We are always looking at providing more opportunities for our students if feasible to do so and will continue to work on this as a possibility moving forward.
The Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) presently has four member schools competing in varsity wrestling…Coldwater, Delphos St. John’s, Parkway and Versailles. At the present time the MAC does not sponsor wrestling as a conference sport.

Parkway is the last member school to start a varsity wrestling program from scratch. In the past several years the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has added girls wrestling to its list of sports.
